Like President Obama, I opposed the war in Iraq from the beginning. Today, I support the President's timetable for withdrawal. The war in Iraq has distracted us from the real mission of combating terrorism and fighting al Qaeda. I oppose a long-term troop presence in Iraq, as well as any change to the President's timetable for withdrawal.
